Meet the Speakers
Chris Beardshaw Renowned garden designer and graduate of Pershore College. Chris was born in Worcestershire and grew up in the Croome area. He has been awarded 15 RHS Gold medals and 6 RHS Best in Show and People's Choice Awards. He has also had a long broadcasting career, both on radio and television, most relevant to us being Hidden Gardens; working with the National Trust on the early restoration of Croome Park in 2003. During the making of which he revealed the importance of the huge collection of bills for plants bought by the 6th Earl of Coventry in the 18th century, some being first introductions to Britain
Jekka McVicar VMH A celebrated herb grower and author, Jekka has won 62 RHS Gold Medals, the prestigious Victoria Medal of Honour, and the Lawrence Medal. Known worldwide for her expertise, she has designed herb gardens for hospitals, restaurants, and private homes. Her books, including Jekka’s Complete Herb Book, have inspired gardeners everywhere. Nicholas Dunn VMH Co-owner of Frank P. Matthews Ltd and an expert on fruit and ornamental trees, Nicholas has dedicated his career to advancing horticulture. With a passion rooted in family heritage, he has served as a leader in numerous horticultural organisations, is a trustee of Batsford Arboretum, and holds the RHS Victoria Medal of Honour.
